Intuition and Discipline vs. Mind and Discipline

You must have become familiar with me and my story of the mind by now. And still, it continues to be the same. I still face the same challenges and find better strength and knowledge in defeating my mind’s games. So, here goes the story.

As usual, I wake up in the morning with my head full of thoughts, worries and fears. A normal morning for me. I feel paralyzed, exhausted and tired. I am worried that the process will really work. My mind’s playing a backstory of failure, responsibilities and my dreams. All at once.

Many times, you may have experienced this and found yourself confused. But this time, I am ready. I know what I must do and how I must not give into my mind’s emotions. And I am sharing with you the process I followed.

The First Step: Reminders

The first thing that I did was remind myself of the time that had passed. This is when I started using the techniques described in the book Reality Transurfing. The techniques of focusing on intuition and listening to the universe’s hints. So, this is the first step.

Remind yourself about how much time has passed since you started something. This helps me learn that not much time has passed and that I can still continue.

Once this is done, remind yourself to listen to your intuition. To do this, simply silence the mind. Meditate and realign your focus to your intuition. Meditation helps focus on the silence and the dark, where nothing is happening and nothing is heard.

The Second Step: Intuition and Discipline vs. Mind and Discipline

Intuition and mind are two very different parts of humans. Mind’s job is to save us from harm and hurt. And this is why it tries to stop us from taking risks. It tries to stop us from change because it does not know the results or the outcome yet.

Intuition guides us closer to our true form of adventure, purpose and art. Intuition, through hints, tells us what is wrong and right, what is meant for us and what is not and so on.

So, it’s important to tune into your intuition or at least learn to calm your mind and refocus.

The Opening for Discipline.

Once you learn to remind yourself that this is the mind speaking and tune it out, finding and following discipline becomes easy. Whenever I felt my mind taking over, reminding myself helped me. It helped me focus on what I wanted to do. This made it easier for me to give my energy to the things I love doing. Such as writing

As I write, hundreds of thoughts are running through my mind. But the important thing for me is getting this article out because I love writing.

So, what is discipline?

Is discipline doing work, workouts, eat food on time?

Yes. Yes, it is. But before finding discipline, it is also important to find your own discipline of art. Your discipline of art can be what you love doing.

I realized that setting goals and taking action according to my mind’s thought process caused me more harm than help. I created excess potential without any action.

So, to build discipline, find your intuition’s wisdom. It will guide you to discipline on its own.

Hope this article helps you.
