After attemptstemps upon attempts to change habits, I always failed at changing them. I blamed and complained, “The situation is not right.”, The people are not right.”
And so on.
But after weeks.of contemplating, I understood the reason I failed. And it was because: I became a wuss whenever a tough time came.
I followed discipline for days, but when the time came to actually say no to a bad habit and say yes a good habit, I failed myself by not being brave in that tough situation.
Sure, there are many terms and many different possibilities for an individual to change. And for me, it was becoming brave during these small challenges and facing them truthfully.
Becoming tough meant saying no when necessary. Becoming tough meant doing the task that I said out to do. Becoming tough, also, meant refocusing on my goals no matter what the voices said.
Braveness, in the end, became an act, a practice to be done everyday. And as days pass by practising, tough decisions to be made will be presented and to really come out of the puddle, the decision made will affect life.
