I feel every emotion that others have,
Every thought that others think,
Like a plant, I take it all in me.
Resentment, abandonment, and shame.
When someone cries, my eyes well up,
When someone’s happy, I laugh through my heart,
But delight leaves and behind stays only pain,
Pulsing and growing into a chain.
Heartache and painful thoughts cover me up,
In a blanket of fear and care,
Like a gift I kept my power,
Adoring and spreading love,
With time and days passing by,
My gift became a curse.
