A Necessity in Morning Ritual

A morning ritual. Many have talked about and so many different ways to do it. The importance and it’s effects are true as a fact. A morning ritual is important to start a day.

But there’s one essential habit that makes me stay focused, the whole day, that I’ve added to my morning ritual, and it is: Meditation.

Again, many have stated the benefits of meditation and many practice it. Some say it helps them keep a clear idea of their goals, for some it is a way to calm themselves and for some it is a key to stay focused.

Sure, there are numerous benefits of meditation. But here’s an intersting fact, meditation works differently for everyone. Focus, discipline and clarity are a few common add-ons.

The need for you to add meditation in your morning ritual, or start meditating, if you don’t have one, is to be in the present moment. 

I meditate, even if I miss a workout, in the morning as it helps me forget about the past and the future. It helps me tunnel my thoughts and my ideas into the present moment.

And being a hyper-active thinker, this helps me stay focused: focused on what I must do, focused on my responsibilities and focused on becoming better Evey minute.

By being in the present moment, I stay focused on me: What I can do better, What I can improve on and What must I do right now?

So, in conclusion, meditation for a few minutes benefits for a lifetime. It is a selfish act for taking care of yourself, that you must do no matter what for atleast 10 mins.
