101 Essays that will Change the Way You Think

2. The Psychology of Daily Routine.

Every successful person, in any field, small or big, has a routine he/she follows. They adhere to a set of rules they set for themselves, follow them blindly without any complaint and stay consistent.

Freedom, many think is the ability to do anything, any time and any where. But the truth about freedom is, it is not born from the results of the outside results (getting rich, buying a dream car and so on. They are necessary and most important), but it is the ability of a person’s to have control over their present thoughts, action and mind.

Here is the list of things how daily routine profits us:

  • Our habits create mood. And a routine helps us be calm and smart.
  • We can learn to dictate our life with conscious decisions.
  • It keeps us focused on completing one task with better results and not how many we are completing in one go.
  • A daily routine makes us familiar with the uncomfortable.
  • A routine gives us purpose and also the opposite of it.
  • A routine helps us keep content because it affirms our decisions we already made.
  • A routine becomes a pathway of flow. Flow is something when a person gets focused on work. Our worries, stress and time dissolve smoothly.

A routine eliminates the habits of procrastination. It builds self-confidence and self-trust. And it builds the most important thing a human can ever have, which is the trust on ourselves.
