The Four Agreements: the Fourth Agreement.

Always Do Your Best.

The fourth agreement speaks about doing your best in every activity of your life. It puts into action the first three agreements: Be impeccable with your word, Never take anything personally and Never make assumptions. The fourth agreement puts these three agreements into use.

Any life lesson, change or rule only gains traction when they are put into action and used daily.

By giving your all, there is no room left for regrets, self-judgement or guilt. But what does giving your all even mean?

It simply means that you put your best self at work. By design, we know what are best selves are and when we put that to get better, not to get better results, but to become better individually, we open up to new possible opportunities, growth and self-love.

This also improves the people around you and your surroundings.

But there will be times when you don’t act according to your best self. And only by focusing on giving your all and doing better the next time, we can avoid the trap of guilt.

Also, there will be times when the best differs from our previous best. And this means that we are good at something but we are better at other activities.

Miguel Ruiz also says that, by not expecting a reward after completing an action, we let ourselves to work freely, independently and with love.

In conclusion, take actions. Start small. Big changes will only happen after the small habits are ingrained for the better.
