1 H and 2 W’s: Most easiest way to decipher.

He who has a why to live for can bear almost any how.

Friedrich Nietzsche

Setting big goals mean big responsibilities. It means taking bigger risks and making heavier sacrifices. It means getting obsessed and also failing big.

People, as well as me, dream big and set goals. As a kid, it is easier to dream big when there are no walls to climb. But where do, then, people slither as they grow?
A few years back, I dreamt big and set goals. But then the responsibility became huge: change of habits, change in environment and so on. But what I didn’t realize then was, I was looking in the future and thinking of what the future should be.

I was thinking in the future and not acting in the present. What this created was fear because I was not at that place, yet.
I forgot that change starts with me and I must drift into adopting change.

At present, I came up with a trick to help me achieve my huge goals. It is simply breaking down the steps to reach closer to the highest peak. And this is where the 1H and 2W’s come.
I have started answering why, what and how. The questions depend on what you want and can be changed.

I write atleast three answers to every question. This questionnaire makes it simple to follow through. For example, my answer to “why am I doing this” is, because it is my responsibility. Then I make a list of three answers.

Then I move on to the next question, “what must i do?”
Here, I list things that I want to change, improve, or leave. For me it is, change my mindset and my habits.

Then breakdown what mindset I have and write down what I will do instead. Similarly, a habit that I want to change and it’s replacment. I find it better to find 3-5 habits that will improve me for one bad habit.

Then comes, “how must I do it?”
Here I least what ways I have to achieve these goals.

These questions can be changed and so can the order. But I find it easy to use it the way I have described. Remember to have atleast 3 answers. More than that will put pressure, which is not good.
