Don’t aim for success if you want it; just do what you love and believe in, and it will come naturally.
David Frost

It all started when I was in my final years of engineering. Engineering, I thought, was an ideal subject for me. It had everything that I talked about most of the time – cars, finding solutions, creativity, craziness and most importantly art. The 2nd year had passed on due to the pandemic (thank God). But for the 3rd year, our colleges had begun working regularly. And I hated the part where I had to go to college, spend my whole understanding the concepts that I could learn online and come home and not work on what I really loved. So, what did I love, exactly?
When our 6th semester started it became harder for me mentally. And the expectations from my parents, and my family didn’t help at all. And to top it off, I started having negative thoughts haunting me everywhere I went.
So, I decided to drop out of college to pursue my real talent, which was art. Art came easy to me. There were people with whom I can talk and understand their language.
And this became and always was what I loved doing. Reading books and articles about other artists, learning about them and so on, became fun. Not only it was fun, but my appetite for knowing more grew huge. And I felt liberated at that moment when I came to know what I love.
And here’s how you should do it too:
Find something that you love. From your childhood memories find out that one thing that you really loved. Really, really loved.
And this will be hard, but it is worth it.
The next step. Start practising your art. Don’t hold yourself back. Let the kid out. Have fun.
And as you get good at it, try finding ways which will make you feel lifted.
Don’t yet focus on money. People will recognize you when you get better each time and share it with the world.
Conclusion:
Find something that you love. Something you would die for. Then start practising and get better at your art. But don’t yet focus on making money, the money will come when you share what you have created with the world.
Create a life that you like. And not a living.
