It’s a funny thing about life, once you begin to take note of the things you are grateful for, you begin to lose sight of the things that you lack.

Once there were two sons whose father was a drunk and unsuccessful. Both sons had different life’s when they grew older. One was was just like his father- drunk and unsuccessful. And the other, well, he was a successful guy and loved his family.
When both asked, “What made you make the choices?”, one them replied, “Well, my father was a drunk.”
And the other, who was successful and beloved by his family, said, “Well, father was a drunk.”
You may have heard this story a lot of times. And the lessons too. But what is it that makes this story good?
Both of the sons had the same story. So, what made them to make them different choices?
The answer is – the narrative they sold themselves. One turned out to be like his dad and the other the opposite. And this was because they had a narrative that they believed was good for them.
And the same way, the stories that you tell yourself, the narrative, makes your life.
If you sell yourself a story that is made of nothing but bullshit, it will be like you narrate it.
And if you tell yourself a story about how your life is beautiful and how grateful you are, that’s how your life will be.
I may not know where you are from, where you belong and what you have and don’t have. But I can tell you one thing, and that is, if you really, really want something, you will always find a way.
And we all have resources that pay different rewards and that need different prices. So, don’t you ever mistake your circumstances as resource-less? You’ve got everything that you need. But you must find it and use it wisely.
It’s hard, at first, to take the blame for all the mishaps in your life. It’s hard to let go of the terrible things that happened to you. But it is also that, you have to let go of the “fucked up story” you tell yourself.
To change your narrative will be hard. I’ve been telling myself a shitty story for months and that hasn’t gotten me anywhere.
Your story is your mindset.
So, how did I changed my narrative?
